Hayaka

Hayaka is the partner of Saxony Canterbury, the "off-the-record" member of Steel Angels Investigations. It has been revealed that her father was an American G.I. during the occupation of Japan, while her mother was a Kitsune, or fox spirit. In addition to the power she has inherited from her mother's side, she also has the Kitsune's weakness -- the White Ball (or hoshi no tama). Whoever possesses this artifact can compel her to do whatever they desire. For a time, Vigil used this to control her, and also Saxony by proxy.

Hayaka is swift and graceful, clearly a martial artist of a very high order. She has revealed several magical abilities from her fox spirit heritage, including the power to create illusions and make mental suggestions. Hayaka is a good match for Saxony in cleverness and spirit. They are a couple as well as a team, and are confident that they will be able to overcome any obstacle. In their observation of Sharon and Gail Curmen, Hayaka and Saxony both have come to speak warmly of the two girls, and seem to want to protect them in whatever ways they can.
