Thunderstruck Outtakes ALTERNATE SCENE -- "Sharon In Peril" So we know that Sharon would've died in the waste unless Prometheus intervened. In an earlier draft, I tried working with a reason that was more immediate than perishing from thirst. The test audience kept nattering on about wing surface area to weight ratios, so I ultimately went with a different approach. 
ALTERNATE SCENE -- "Munin's Gift" In this wasteland scene, the raven Munin demonstrates his special nature by brining Sharon a gift. This is a take where Sharon went off-script and improvised her reaction to this revelation. It's in character for her to try such an exploit, but I decided it would be too big a headache to give her so much leeway.
